      who was involved?

A ghost-writer impersonates his boss on a working journey to Tunisia to discuss a new script with a film star. This movie has a few chuckles, but overall it's a bore and a waste of talent—as Pierre Richard is an outstanding actor in the comedy genre (see Knock on Wood for instance ) and Aldo Maccione holds his own. How would you like to watch a movie about a platoon of French soldiers running from the German army during World War 2? If it were hilarious, I would not mind. For the most part, this is a light-hearted movie with lots of texture but not much comedy. Perhaps it just aged poorly. At first, I gave up after half an hour. After a positive experience with each of the sequels, I watched a bit more and finished the film on the third sitting (the second half was funnier). The first sequel isn't bad, and the third installment is even better. (Last viewed: August 2014)

Before I started watching this movie, I hadn't realized that it belongs to the once-popular genre of Italian adult comedies. If you can make it five minutes into the film, you'll have seen more of it than I did—I barely made it past the opening credits. Utter garbage, at least on the laugh-o-meter scale, the only measure of value on this side. (Last viewed: July 2014)

This movie has a terrific title—and that's the only good thing I can say about it. A man with a James Bond complex is mistaken for a genuine spy. Sounds good? Go watch something like The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe. I had seen Aldo Maccione in a couple of half-decent roles and hoped this movie, in which he stars, would showcase his talents. Sadly, I could not get past the 25th minute. It's unwatchable. (Last viewed: July 2014)
